אלפי שביליסטים צועדים מדי שנה בשביל ישראל שמשתרע לאורך מדינת ישראל כולה. הטובים שבבני ובנות הנוער. במסע הם נחשפים לאנשים שונים ולארץ ישראל היפה.
Every year, thousands of hikers, including the very best of our young men and women, walk the path known as Shvil Yisrael, which runs the length of the entire State of Israel. Along the way, they have the opportunity to meet hikers from different areas and backgrounds, all part of this beautiful country.
מיזם צהר 'שבת בשביל ישראל' מארח את הצועדים לשבתות של תוכן. בשבתון כזה מתקיימים קבלת שבת מוזיקלית, סעודות שבת משותפות, שיח ומפגש מהותי. זוהי שבת בה המחיצות נשברות, ומתאפשרת חוויה יהודית מרגשת ומחברת. האירוח מתקיים ב"בתי רונן": מתחמי קמפינג או בתים פרטיים, והוא כולל לינה וסעודות שבת.
בשנת 2021 יתקיימו כ-55 שבתונים (כל שבתון בעלות של כ-10,000 ש"ח). אנו צופים השתתפות של 1,650 מטיילים (בעלות של 340 ש"ח לאדם).
Tzohar’s ‘Shabbat on Shvil Yisrael’ initiative will host hikers interested in spending a content filled shabbat while on their journey. There will be a musical Friday night ‘kabbalat Shabbat’ service, family style shabbat meals, discussions and programming, all rich in content. This is a shabbat that will break down all barriers, religious and social, offering a meaningful Jewish experience and opportunity to connect with others in an warm and fun environment. In each location, "Beit Ronen", we will provide comfortable accommodations and shabbat meals, either at a campground or in a private home.
In 2021 we will host 55 Shabbatonim in various locations (3,000 USD per Shabbaton). We anticipate 1,650 hikers will participatein the program (100 USD per hiker).

התאפיין באהבתו הרבה לכל אדם ובקריאתו לשיח ציבורי מכיל וקשוב. היה חובב טיולים מושבע ואהב את ארץ ישראל בכל מאודו.
במיזם צהר ״שבת בשביל ישראל״ אנו מבקשים להנציח את דמותו, את הערכים שהאמין בהם, חי לאורם והנחילם לרבים.
Rabbi Ronen Neuwirth, of blessed memory, was a community rabbi, posek halacha, inspiring leader, and social entrepreneur. He was head of Tzohar’s Kehilot Project and rav mechaten, a hi-tech savant, and an officer in the Shayetet 13 commando unit.
He was known for his love for each person and ability to engage in thoughtful, inclusive communal discourse.
He was an avid hiker and loved the Land of Israel.
Through Tzohar’s ‘Shabbat on Shvil Yisrael’ initiative, we hope to perpetuate his memory and the values he espoused, fulfilled, and bequeathed to others.
